So, who am I?

I am Damien Buckley, currently 31 years old, married, no kids, two dogs, two cats and a business.

I’ve been in sales most of my life and up until recently, ran the Australian operation for a German flooring manufacturer. Now, my Wife Renee & I run Propeller Graphic Design & Marketing - a micro-marketing business. Between us we offer graphic design, web design, email marketing and public relations services. We’ve been in business for just under two years and so far, so good….

I’ve been into web design for about a year, am self taught and again, so far, so good… I’ve focused strongly on designing and building websites with a strict foccus on web standards and am lucky to have a superb graphic artist sat right next to me to keep things interesting.

Outside of work, I play Halo 2 on Xbox Live and have friends worldwide I play with - I even belong to a gaming clan for which I am currently designing a website.

I read, generally submarine warfare or spy/special forces focused books. My favourite authors are Tom Clancy, Patrick Robinson, Chris Ryan and Andy Mcnab. For a change from the genre, I also read David Gemmell’s excellent heroic fantasy and also John Grisham to bring me back down to earth.

Musically speaking I personally have no skills whatsoever - I will however listen to most things. In the car, I like techno - a throwback to my clubbing days. Otherwise I like U2, Jamiroquai, most R&B, Dire Straits, Sting etc etc

My favourite movies are Alien’s, The Abyss, the Star Wars collection, Matrix and Lord of The Rings trilogies - generally action movies though I also like a good thinking movie every now and then too. We visit the cinema about once a week. Movies worth seeing of late - Sin City for sure and probably give Stealth a miss.

When I’m not playing Halo, I watch 24, all the CSI’s, Without a Trace, Last Man Standing, Cold Case, Numbers, Alias - current affairs programmes such as 60 Minutes and probably far too much news.

I passed my open water PADI diving course in October and have since dived in Fiji and Brisbane’s Moreton Bay. My Wife, Renee is taking her course as we speak.

I Love marine fish and coral etc and another passion is marine aquarium keeping though as we currently live with my inlaws - the tank is currently empty :(

I also Love all things technical, particularly hi-fi and computers so the current career is really an ideal one.

I have a short temper, dont suffer fools gladly and could definitely work on my patience, but there you go, no ones perfect!
